How to hold on to your holiday memories
Do you remember your baby’s very first Halloween costume? The one he wore on his second Halloween? The first time she picked out her own costume? Time is just flying by way too fast. Don’t you wish you could freeze time?
I wish I had a time-freezing machine to give you. I wish we could just freeze moments in time and visit them later. Since I can’t give you that, I want to give you a little way to hold on to those precious holiday moments with your kids.
I am a big believer in capturing everything. I have 15,292 photos in my iPhone. That’s a real number. I had to get the highest memory phone because I need it. I also write things down and write notes to my kids for when they are older. I have always been a sentimental person, but recently memories became even more important.
You see, my grandmother has Alzheimer’s and I am constantly reminded how important that photos, letters, and captured memories can be. If you don’t write it down or take the picture, it’s almost like it didn’t happen. If no one can remember, that moment is gone. I want to remember the costumes, the laughs over Halloween stories and the year we watched Halloweentown 82 times!
That’s why I created this easy, free, printable Halloween memory sheet that you can fill out with your kids. This is a great way to unwind after a busy Halloween night! It’s also a fun way to spend some Mommy and Me time (or family time!) thinking about Halloween before the next holiday season comes rushing in.
