How to make a dessert charcuterie board for hot chocolate:
Directions:
-
Start by making hot chocolate! Using a slow cooker, like this easy recipe, is a simple way to make enough for a crowd. You can add espresso powder, cinnamon, etc to make it the hot chocolate you want!
-
Leave the slow cooker on your counter so guests can help themselves, or transfer it to a pitcher! (Make sure it is a heat-safe pitcher. I love this one for easy dispersing!)
-
When creating your hot chocolate board, you can use a thick slab wooden cutting board or a charcuterie board like in the pictures. Arrange the ingredients, including any you want to add, throughout the board. Add some as loose items while placing others in small bowls.
-
Fill your board entirely of goodies! Add spoons in your caramel, espresso powder, and anywhere else you might see fit! Sprinkle in a few marshmallows, chocolate chips, peppermints, and etc! You can add cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, or anything you think would be a delicious hot chocolate topping!
